'Twilight Love Bites' Now In Trend

Giving way to this new trendy form of showing your love to another person, teenage couples are now sinking their teeth literally into each other necks. The famous vampire series and shows like that of 'True Blood and the Vampire Diaries" are truly inspiring the teenagers today by making them take one step further and experimenting reality “love bites".
"It's a way to belong to somebody and check their territory", says high school sophomore Pao Hernandez. This might sound awkward at the thought of hearing it but Hernandez states that at her school couples exchange blood with each other to prove their passion and in return friends also give each other bites to just demonstrate how close they are.
“This is kind of the modern day version of the hickey," said CBS Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton., she also mentioned , “But we have to remember, any time there's a break in the skin, especially when you're talking about the human mouth, it's loaded with bacteria...You can set up for potentially some serious skin infections,"
This new stylish trend has left parents astounded and panicky. "This really concerns me because it has to do with possession. We're talking about something that''s about ownership, possessing your friends," says parent Vanessa Van Petten.
This impact from the movie has now become a new kind of status symbol as said by Missy Wall, the Director of a Dallas outreach group for middle and high school students. Like said earlier, she also adds that , "It becomes a contest of who has the bite mark and then that means somebody cares about you or you''re in a relationship or you have been chosen, which is very similar to the movies."
To this new style of giving a hicky, Ashton further adds , “It becomes a contest of who has the bite mark and then that means somebody cares about you or you''re in a relationship or you have been chosen, which is very similar to the movies."
Teenagers should come out of this movie fix and accept reality for this would turn out to be dangerous as germs are involved and therefore diseases are carried widely through saliva.
