Despite her popularity, the Scottish singer, Susan Boyle, has not forgotten her roots. She insists on leading a common man's life.

Boyle, who just pocketed a whopping 4 million pounds, insists on travelling by public transport around her home in Blackburn, West Lothian. She was seen waiting for a bus, alone at a bus stop.

The singer is rich, famous and a well known celebrity. But all this doesn't matter to her. She still wants to lead a "normal life."

"It was a bizarre sight. She could have a driver in a posh limo at her beck and call but she gets the bus. It shows she's still one of us at heart," said an onlooker.

"She just wants to lead a normal life. If she wants to get a bus she will - she won't listen to anybody else. For her, the stardom doesn't matter. She is happy to be a star but still wants to be one among the common man," said a source, close to Boyle.
