Rafael Nadal accomplished the Grand Slam Monday after defeating Novak Djokovic in the 2010 U.S Open men's singles finale.

Rafael Nadal, playing his first U.S Open finale, dismissed Djokovic, to become the seventh player to complete a career Grand Slam. He is the second youngest player to win the title.

The former World No.2 champion Djokovic, who dominated the Spanish champion, failed to take advantage of the one day break due to rain. Djokovic gave a tough competition to Rafael Nadal but at the end of it committed 47 unforced errors. Nadal on the other hand finished the game with eight aces and had 31 unforced errors.

With this victory, Rafael Nadal, became the first player since 1969 to win the French Open Wimbledon and U.S Open in the same year.
