Penelope Cruz's Appeal To Support haiti Quake Victims
The Spanish actress, who was present at the awards function to support her musical Nine and Spanish film 'Broken Embraces.' Director, Paul Haggis who is also a member of charity organisation. Artists for Peace and Justice, changed his Globe plans at the last minute and instead went to haiti to help relief workers.
“We are very lucky to be here, celebrating cinema, but it's impossible to think about anything else than the terrible disaster that is going on in haiti," said Cruz.
“Our dear friend Paul Haggis is on his way to haiti. He has an organisation and has been working for that country for many years. I encourage people to look at the website, Artists for Peace and Justice and do whatever they can for the haiti earthquake victims. Tonight cannot be just about the movies," she added.
