Michael Douglas Is Optimistic About His Cancer

The Oscar winning actor ,Michael Douglas, who is facing 'eight-week struggle" against throat cancer, has now reported that he is optimistic about his chances of recovery. The actor said that he had just finished his first week of radiation and chemotherapy which drew a surprised reaction from David Letterman.

David Letterman the host of “David Letterman Late Show" had told Douglas he has never looked better and this thus proves that he is a tough guy.

Douglas said that ," Let's just say ... I'm pretty lit up right now." He further added that The disease was diagnosed three weeks ago and a biopsy found he had late, stage-four cancer.

“It is intense and so they've had to go at it", said Michael. He added that ," The cancer remains above the neck and that means expectations are good, with an 80 percent or better chance of recovery."
