Judi Dench Eavesdrop On Theatre Audiences
The actress, who recently starred as Queen Titania in Peter Hall"s production of A Midsummer Night"s Dream, admits that she likes to eavesdrop on theatre audiences to see how her performance was.
“I can"t bear not to be in touch so I have the Tannoy turned right up in my dressing room as I like to be one up on everyone else," said Judi.
“You can hear the audience"s reactions in the auditorium during a performance and you don"t get that on film or TV. I listen to the audience and then you know if you need to hit the accelerator or to push on the brake!" she added.
