Fantasia Barrino Dumped By Married Boyfriend

The American singer Fantasia Barrino attempted suicide when her married boyfriend Antwaun Cook dumped her. The winner of the third series American Idol was rushed to a hospital after she swallowed a bottle of aspirin and sleeping pills.

As per the reports, it was stated that," Antwaun Cook was fed-up with all the drama and called the relationship off with Fantasia. She begged him not to leave her but he wouldn't listen." The singer has admitted that she carried on an on/off relationship with the married Cook since the past year 2009, but insisted that he used to say that he was separated from his wife.

This affair came to light when Cook"s wife Paul filed for divorce and she has stated that her husband and Barrino had a secret relationship for nearly a year and had made several sex tapes.

After all this it was said that the 26 year old singer couldn"t handle all of this and therefore took the extreme step. The friend said ," Fantasia was still devastated because she believed they had a future together. She was also stressed out about the complaint filed by his wife."

She further added that , “Fantasia had gotten herself involved in a war of words with Paula Cook over him and there were several nasty phone calls between the two women."
