French First Lady, Carla Bruni has been voted as the most annoying celebrity in a new poll, Harris Poll of 1,713 adults.

Of the media people, Carla Bruni topped the list of irritating people, with 52 percent of people were of the view that her presence was 'highly grating'

Alain Delon followed her on 47 per cent, followed by actor Gerard Depardieu on 46 per cent in the Harris poll of 1,713 adults.

With Carla Bruni being the most annoying person, also of the country's fourth most annoying people, her husband Nicolas Sarkozy is also voted as one of France's most irksome politicians. Socialist presidential candidate Segolene Royal, interior minister Brice Hortefeux and National Front leader Jean-Marie Le Pen were also in the irksome list.

The Daily Mail quoted French daily Le Parisien as saying. “This couple clearly have a lot of PR work to do for themselves over the next 12 months"
