Lady Gaga was provided with an etiquette note before she met the Queen recently. All performers were given a detailed instructions by the palace for this year's Royal Variety Show in Blackpool.

The etiquette note emphasized on the fact that one should not speak unless and until spoken to.

They were also informed the correct pronunciation of Ma'am by writing, “as in jam and not Mar'am as in smarm."

The Etiquette Notes include the following points too:

• Address The Queen as 'Your Majesty'
  
• Please wait before offering your hand
  
• It is not mandatory to bow
  

Address the Duke of Edinburgh as 'Your Royal Highness'
