$50k For Rihanna's Family Reunion

Rihanna had a unique way to celebrate the reception of Glamour award. She dished out a whopping 50,000 dollars to fly her family to New York for the function. It was also her way of showing thank-you for being with her through tough times.

The 'Umbrella' hitmaker flew in her mom, Monica Fenty, plus her brothers and aunts from her native Barbados to watch her pick up the Woman of the Year Award in an emotional ceremony at Carnegie Hall. Later, she introduced them to Iman, Serena Williams, Tyra Banks and fashion designer Stella McCartney. Rihanna feels that her grand mother and mother are the most two important women in their lives.

Rihanna revealed that without the unconditional love of her grandmother and mother she wouldn't have overcame the turbulences in her life. She then took her family for dinner at South Gate in the Essex House. However Rihanna's father Ronald Fenty was missing from the festivities.

In a recent interview with Diane Sawyer, Rihanna said that her dad abused her mother when she was a child. It was soon after her break up with Chris Brown. It seems Rihanna is yet to find the luck with good men.
