The First Dog At The White House

By Staff
Pet Dog At Obamas

The Obama daughters Sasha and Malia had to wait for months for the pet pooch that had been promised to them by their father. Their wait is at an end since the first dog had been moved to the white house.

Barack Obama had publicly promised the pet pooch for his daughters in his election victory speech in November 2008. Barack and Michelle Obama have got the new addition to the U.S first family from a prominent Texas kennel with the help of Senator Ted Kennedy's family.

The black male dog was named Charlie initially. It is six months old and the Obamas will rename him. The dog has already been to the White House for a "familiarisation" visit. The kennel has sold the Kennedy three Portuguese Water Dogs in the past, all from the same lineage. The Kennedy family presented the dog to the Obamas.
