The first of its kind 'Micro Film Festival' will be held in Kochi, the port city of Kerela. The event is organized by Graphics in association with the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), AM4 and leading visual media institutions.

The festival will be held between February 25 and 28. The four day festival will have 150 micro films screened with a thousand delegates to participate in the fest. Various competitions on National, International, regional and open categories are also the part of the festival.

The highlight of the festival is the special competition category for women. "In view of the remarkable contributions made by women in tinsel world, there will be a special category for women," said P. M. Jayakumar, General Convener of the Micro Film Festival committee.

The best movie will be decided by the voting panel of technical experts, national level directors and media persons. The best movie will walk away with the Crystal Leaf Award and a cash prize of Rs.50,000.

Adding variety to the festival is the Open forum, technical workshop, digital village and cultural events. This will add to the tourist traffic in the region. AGENCIES
