Rare Photograph Of McCartney As Schoolboy

The photograph that dates back to 1952, when the young McCartney was still in the school was found by a lady, who later brought it to The Beatles Shop, which is conducting the auction. The snap shows the former Beatle's head buried in a comic while being surrounded by classmates from Joseph Williams School, Liverpool.
Beatles, a band that was formed in the largely middle class borough in Liverpool went on to create history, while in the process defined rock and roll for an entire generation, while also paved way for many of the psychedelic bands of today and became legends.
The McCartney photograph forms part of 'The Beatles' memorabilia auction that would held at the Paul McCartney Auditorium at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (Lipa).
Stephen Bailey, manager of The Beatles Shop, the organisers of the sale, said that the credit crunch might be cited as a probable reason for the 315 items of The Beatles memorabilia being put up for grabs.
