'Idea Nachke Dikha' Rocks Hyderabad

The GenX dance jodi of Hyderabad has emerged...
Radio Mirchi, the chaala hot radio station rocked the city today with the grand finale of "Nachke Dikha" - the biggest ever dance extravaganza to take place in the city in recent times. Oozing with some extraordinary dancing talent, the contestants entertained the crowds as they danced to the foot tapping tunes during the final competition. The glitzy event took place at St.Mary's Pharmacy College , Secundrabad.
After a 4 week long hectic activity across colleges, the competition culminated in a gala affair in the presence of Tollywood's music maestro Ravi Verma, Anand Pillai - chief choreographer from Shaimak Dawar Dance Institute and ace dancer Teena (Winner and judge of Aata dance show). The judges mesmerized the audience with their anecdotes and charm. A total of 10 short listed talented dance teams from various colleges got to perform for 98.3 seconds and were judged on the basis of factors like the couple's outfit, dancing skills, synchronization & performance and finally the X factor & song selection.
"Nachke Dikha" was an initiative undertaken by Radio Mirchi in association with Idea Cellular which was a hunt for the most talented dancing couple who sport an impeccable charm & grace in dancing added with the right amount of spice to entertain. Radio Mirchi had visited 20 top colleges of the city to search the best of dance talent in Hyderbad, some of
the participating colleges were City College, GeetanjaliCollege, Kasthurba Degree College, St. Mary's Pharmacy, JNTU College, IIMC and other top colleges.
Pavanjeet and Niharika of Apollo College walked away with the first prize and were presented with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, Jyothi and Poornima of Bhavan's College & Tasneem and Afroze of Diwan Bahadur College were declared the first and second runners up with a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 5,000 respectively.
Commenting on the initiative, Jayanta - Cluster Head for Andhra Pradesh, sai d, "Radio Mirchi has always believed in connecting with its listeners through platforms that resonate with them; dancing is every youth's desire & indulgence of the age. We are extremely encouraged by the response from various colleges to this grand competition and confident of finding the unique dancing jodi."
