By Staff

Clinton's Tapes, Wrestling History
A new oral history of bill clinton's presidency based on the 79 recorded interviews between bill clinton and historian Taylor Branch during the late night visits to 'White House' as per 'The Times' has the beans spilled regarding a lot many issues, political, funny, Monica Lewinsky et al.

During his 1995 visit to Washington, the former Russian President Boris Yeltsin got so drunk during a 1995 visit to Washington that he tried to hail a cab clad only in his underwear, a few feet away from the 'White House'. He later tried to cover up by telling that he was trying to get a Pizza?!

The taped conversations took place between 1993 and 2001, the year Clinton left the office. The conversations also contained the confided version of Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky. The former president had felt sorry for himself and said ““I cracked; I just cracked" under the pressure of political setbacks as well as personal issues, including the death of his mother the loss of Congress to the Republicans in 1994.

The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History with the President, to be published next week is the recorded version of the tape turned into a 707 page book by Branch who shared a flat with Clinton when they ran George McGovern"s 1972 presidential campaign in Texas.

The two hour argument that ensued between Al Gore and Clinton after having lost to George W. Bush in the 2000 elections also form a part of the tape. The two hurled blames at each other with Clinton telling that they would have made it at the election if only he was allowed to campaign in campaign in the areas of Arkansas and New Hampshire were he was popular. Gore hit back telling that Clinton"s affair with Ms Lewinsky was the major issue through out the failed election campaign.
