Carla Bruni's High Desire

Bruni, who had been a glamorous model in her earlier days, possibly seems to have find her new avatar - that of a politician - a bit difficult. Perhaps that's the reason why the lady, at the slightest possibility, goes daring to show her previous avatar - that of a model.
At Tuesday's French National Day celebrations where Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was the Chief Guest of Honour, Bruni, who was a prominent model in her earlier avatar, graced popular fashion magazines of the world like Vogue etc, wore a simple white shift dress and black ballet pumps.
Earlier this month, while on a visit to her home country Italy, where she went with President Sarkozy to attend the G-8 summit, France's Italian-born First Lady wore similar simple outfits, including a pale pink ensemble during a press conference in Rome.
The paradox of the event was Gursharan Kaur, Indian Prime Minister's wife, wore a white silk sari with a pink pallu and border during the ceremony in Paris. The true Indian, you see!
