Brad Pitt has gone out of his way to claim that Angelina Jolie is not a home wrecker. "What people don't understand is that we filmed ['Mr. & Mrs. Smith'] for a year. We were still filming after Jen [Aniston] and I split up," The New York Post quoted him as saying.

The star, in an interview with W in the annual "A-List" February issue told that Jolie who was his co-star in the movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith' did not break his marriage with Jennifer Aniston.

He added: "Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't. I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful."

Not just that but the macho star also supports his ex-wife quite much and believes that she means well, He said: "Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It's so created," he claims.

Recently in an interview, Aniston commented Angelina Jolie to be 'uncool' when Jolie revealed that she and Pitt fell in love on the film sets. However, Brad Pitt has taken a diplomatic stand and does not believe in washing dirty laundry in the public, "We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]. That's life, man. That's life."
