As reported by the Chicago Sun-Times, the survey involved 2,634 US adults. The survey involved asking people whom they considered their hero with out providing them with any list. The Harris poll conducted in 2001 included Jesus Christ as mentioned quite often, followed by Martin Luther King, Colin Powell, John F. Kennedy and Mother Teresa.
Bush at that time was on the 19 th position but has landed fifth currently. John McCain who was on the 20th place in 2001 is currently at number seven while Mother Teresa who was at number five in 2001 is now at the tenth spot.
