World Science Festival-2008
New York is hosting first annual world science festival, which is going to be inaugurated on May 28.. The five day event is an effort to highlight the role of science in everyday life. Con Edison is the major sponsor of the festival
It is bringing together over a dozen Nobel Laureates, professors, actors, dedicated educators, filmmakers, and performers to create more than 40 unique events.
The World Science Festival is taking place at 15 venues, many in the Washington Square Area of Greenwich Village. , the co-founder of the festival, is determined to put science in a new and different light.
The festival will highlight cutting-edge ideas and discoveries, revealing science's role in addressing critical global issues through lectures, panels, debates and interactive events.
The topics during the five-day festival include the science of morality, what sustainable cities will look like in the future, and the search for universal laws of life.
