, 27, of North Carolina, USA, has taken pains to knock the pains of the rare kind of dwarfism which belittled her. The American woman has yeilded in bravely to the lengthening procedures to an incredible height of 14 inches before the day of her wedding.

Didonato, has made a remarkable stretching from 3ft 6in to 4ft 10 inches to enjoy a normal life of being independent, being a wife and driving a car that most people take it lightly.

"They had to break my bones and put a device inside which pulls them apart bit by bit," the Telegraph quoted her, as saying.

"The bone then grows and fills in the gaps. Each day my legs would be stretched another millimetre. I feel great now. All I ever wanted was to live an independent life, get married and drive a car. Things which most people take for granted "

"Now I'm over 5ft if I wear my heels" she added.

After the lengthening procedure Didonato proudly tied her nuptial knot with Eric in October and is now looking forward to her first Christmas as a newly wed.

"I've lived much of my life either in a cast of with pins sticking out of my legs. But its all been worth it to have my dream wedding, dream dress and dream husband," she added.
