Ratan Tata win 'Global Indian Award'
Hyderabad : Tata Group Chairman Ratan N Tata will be among the recipients of the 'NASSCOM Global Leadership Awards-2008,' at a ceremony on February 14 in Mumbai.
The winners in different categories, including Business Transformation Award, Business Leader Award and Global Indian Award, would be felicitated by Civil Aviation Minister John Chambers and Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh on the sidelines of 'NASSCOM 2008 India Leadership Forum', a press release here said.
Mr Tata would receive the 'Global Indian Award' for 'bringing fame and glory' to the country.
British Airways CEO Willie Walsh would be honoured with the 'Business Transformation Award' for encouraging the use of technology within the organisation to achieve business goals and operational excellence.
The 'Business Leader Award' would be presented to Cisco Chairman John Chambers 'for setting the company on a path of innovation, customer responsiveness and corporate governance and enabling it to achieve rapid growth and profitability,' the release added.
