Golden Olympian Michael Phelps has been on a fast track to riches since the Beijing Games. The latest news on his great earnings state that he made 100,000 dollars just for appearing at a showbiz party, and swimming some laps.

The ace swimmer, who won eight gold medals at the Beijing Olympics, was reportedly offered 156,000 dollars cash in Aussie money to show his prowess in the pool at a posh bash for the wife of a TV network boss in Los Angeles. A New York Post report suggests that the 23-year-old accepted the offer, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Many estimate that this 14 times Olympic champion is heading up to 30 million dollars. Phelps has recently hosted Saturday Night Live, filmed a guest spot on Entourage, partied it up at the Playboy Club in Las Vegas, done numerous tv interviews, been offered his own reality show, met Oprah and President Bush, had a parade in Baltimore and many more.

All these and much more have surely paved his way to fame and loads of money, piled just to have his presence in their celebration.
