Kankana Bakshi to represent India in Top Model of the World 2007

Here is another dreamy-eyed girl from Kolkata raring to hit the Bollywood scenario. Here is model Kankana Bakshi who has been selected 'Top Model of India 2007" and will represent the country in the 'Top Model of the World 2007" contest.

Kankana Bakshi has competed her schooling from Mother's International in Kolkata with sociology as her major subject. In the glamour front, Kankana has participated in the 'Gladrags 2005" and also in the 'Miss Chinese World" contests. She bagged the titles of 'Ms. Talented and Ms Personality" . She has done two Bengali films – 'Yudh" and 'Abhimonya" with Mithun Chakraborty and, notwithstanding her minor roles in them, both were major hits.

Being a sought-after model, Kankana has done advertisement campaigns for some big brands and walked the ramp with Achla Sachdev and Mark Robinson. She has also done shoots for celebrity designers like Hemant Trivedi, Sabyasachi and currently she is the face for Bombay Dyeing this year for the Tao collection design by Sabyasachi. In addition, Kankana also done corporate presentations like Megga, Mahindra & Mahindra and Cotton World.

Back in Kolkata, Kankana did event anchoring and hosted a Bollywood gossip news show titled 'Miss IC" for Channel HVC. Her next stop from here would be Bollywood.
