The prestigious silks showroom group Kalyan Silks woven out the first branded bridal saree in the Indian market on 12/03/08. The Malayalam Cine stars Mohanlal and Mukesh unveiled the first sarees "Chayamukhi" and "Taaron Ki Barath" of Sougandhika series at Lulu International Conventional centre.

Sougandhika silks will be available in Kalyan showrooms from 1st April 2008. Kalyan Silks' Chairman and Managing Director T.S. Pattabhiraman and Director Prakash Pattabhiraman were present in the event.

In accordance with the release of "Chayamukhi" there was a stage show on the same name at Lulu International Conventional centre enacted by Mohanlal and Mukesh in the main roles.
