Brit Woman's £90m Electricity Bill Shocker!

Soaring household expenditures are a pain in the neck for everyone these days. But for Brit Alison Turner the ache became a lot more unbearable after she received an electric bill for 90million pounds.

Turner, 50, of Cambridge, was stunned when the demand from npower arrived through the post.

Her huge bill was for the equivalent of leaving lights on for 1,900 years.

"I know electricity bills have gone up recently, but this is ridiculous. I was shocked to say the least," the Mirror quoted the mum-of-two, as saying.

"It's lucky they didn't send it to a , they might have keeled over.

"I shouldn't even be getting any bills from them because I pay in advance," she added.

Npower cancelled the bill.

A spokesman said: "We have systems to ensure these errors are not made, so I'm at a loss to say why this happened.

"We take customers' bills very seriously and we will look into this mistake."
