A.R Rehman's Campaign For Taj Mahal

Mumbai (UNI): Music maestro A R Rehman along with I Media Corp Ltd (IMCL) today launched a nationwide campaign here to motivate the public to vote for Taj Mahal, a monument of love, to be included in the new Seven Wonders of the World.

He has specially composed and sung a song ''One Love'' to kickstart the multi-media campaign for Taj Mahal.

The new Seven Wonders, to be selected on the basis of a worldwide voting via celluler and fixed line phones, was launched by the New 7 Wonders Society, a Switzerland-based group.

''I told myself, 'what an honour it is to do it,'' said Rehman about his composition.

The Taj Mahal is one of the 21 shortlisted wonders, which includes other iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and the Statue of Liberty.

''Any Indian who has pride, and has been in love should vote for Taj Mahal,'' said Bharat Kapadia, chairman of India Unites for the Taj.

Votes can be cast at TAJ 4567 via cell phones, and 127777 (MTNL land line subscribers), 1255545 (MTNL mobile subscribers) for Mumbai.

The official delaration will be held at Lisbon in Portugal on July 7.
