Indhra Nooyi Purchases Rs.7 cr Flat At Poes Garden!

The prestigious Poes garden area in Chennai will have yet another famous address with Indhra Nooyi, the CEO of PepsiCo. She is booking a flat close to the bungalows of AIADMK leader J. Jayalalitha and that of superstar Rajnikanth.

The property is promoted and constructed by a Chennai based real estate company KGEYES Residency Private Limited. Sources close to the company said, "Indhra Nooyi has booked the third floor and on one side and Mr.Rajnikanth's house on the other. Her husband Raj Kissan Nooyi has negotiated with the builders for a price between Rs 6.5 crore and Rs. 7 crore. The total area of the property will come around 4000 sqft. The property will be handed over to Nooyi at the end of year 2008. "

The Chennai based Nooyi has recently honoured by the Govt. of India with Padma Bhushan, the country's third most prestigious civilian award. Having bought this property, the powerful woman's long time wish to own a property in this most prestigious area has fulfilled. She spent her childhood in Chennai. Her father worked at the State Bank of Hyderabad and her grandfather was a district judge. She did her BSc. in chemistry from the Madras Christian College and subsequently earned a Master's degree in finance and marketing from the IIM, Calcutta.
