Orlando Bloom builds an environment friendly house in London. The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star revealed his plans at a pre-Oscar party in aid of the environmental organisation Global Green USA.

The house is as green as he can make it. It's got solar panels on the roof, energy efficient light bulbs - newer technology basically that is environmentally friendly.

It might not be possible for everyone to live a completely green lifestyle, but we can do little things to help slow global warming.

People could just help by unplugging their phone chargers and turning off the TV when they're not watching it.

The 30-year-old actor arrived at the party in a plug-in hybrid car. It was powered by a combination of electricity and petrol and has large batteries that can be plugged into a standard wall socket. Other guests at the party were Chevy Chase, James Blunt and Penelope Cruz, who Orlando is dating.
