Mumbai, Mar 5: Newly-wed British actress Liz Hurley arrived here with industrialist husband Arun Nayar after a secret marriage on Friday.

The celebrity couple were expected to attend socialite Parmeshwar Godrej's party in their honour in the metropolis tomorrow evening before heading to Udaipur in Rajasthan, renowned for its opulent palaces, for a traditional Indian ceremony on Thursday or Friday.

Forty one-year-old Hurley and Indian businessman Nayar, 42, married in a civil ceremony at a picturesque castle in England on Friday, following it with a celebrity-studded party during the weekend. Guests including supermodels Elle MacPherson and Eva Herzigova, Elton's partner David Furnish and Pasty Kensit - who gave an emotional Bible reading - were treated to a sumptuous four-course meal of seafood cocktail, roast chicken and sticky toffee pudding, accompanied by 400 bottles of vintage champagne. After dinner, Arun and Liz surprised guests by picturising a h Bollywood-style movie about how they met and fell in love.

The couple and their friends are put up at a Taj Mahal Hotel in South Mumbai.
