Gwen Stefani preferred make-up to toys as a child. The 'Rich Girl' singer used to raid her friends' mother's make-up boxes at every opportunity and loved experimenting with cosmetics.

Mother-of-one Gwen insists she rarely goes out without make-up and doesn't care what people think about her obsession.

The 37-year-old star - who is married to British rocker Gavin Rossdale - says,"Everyone has criticized me for wearing too much make-up but I've also made a career out of it! My make-up must have is my lipstick. It's what my husband likes me in and I definitely try to please him!"
