Shah Rukh Khan's house has been under fire since quite some time, now. The actor who stays in the bungalow, Mannat, in Mumbai's Bandra area, has been in the process of building a multi-story building, within the bungalow property. A PIL was filed by a certain Mr. Cyril Thomas, who claimed that the actor had influenced the Maharashtra Government in order to get permission to construct the building.
Earlier, the bungalow was called Villa Vienna. However, Khan renamed it Mannat. The high court ruled that the actor had all the permissions for the additional construction. The Supreme Court has dismissed the PIL. It is believed by some that constructing a multi storey building will damage the original heritage structure, Mannat.
