82 year-old appears for exams

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 11 An 82-year old woman Gollapudi Prabhavathi appeared for a degree examination in B R Ambedkar University at Nallarjela village sunday light.

Ms Prabhavathi, hailing from Tadepalligudem town in West Godavari district said that she wanted to become a lawyer in her younger days. But she could not realise here ambition due to her family commitments.

She was president of 'Rashtreeya Sevika Samakhya' (Women's wing of RSS) and got married in 1948 to a lawyer.

Her husband, brother-in-law , four sons and grand children are all lawyers. This motivated her to attend the examination.

She said she was a matriculate and after completing graduation, she would study for a Law degree.
