While things are going great for John on the personal front, even his professional life is looking good. The actor has been signed on by UTV for two movies. One of them will be with kids selected from the contest John Aur Kaun? The other is a film titled Rockstar directed by Imtiaz Ali. It is being touted as the cult film of 2007. Apparently, it will be the 'Rang De Basanti' of next year.
The actress of the film will either be a big star or a rank newcomer. Nothing has been confirmed on that front. Rockstar is a love story and will have John playing the lead. Apparently, John is taking guitar classes in preparation for his role.
Imtiaz Ali was earlier slated to direct a film for HMV starring Bobby Deol and Ayesha Takia. However, that film has been put on hold as Imitaz wants to concentrate on Rockstar. The film will have music by A R Rahman. Rockstar will go on floors on October 3.
