Chandigarh, Nov 25 (UNI) A homoeopathy university would be set up near Solan in Himachal Pradesh by the World Homoeopathic Development Organisation(WHDO).
Talking to reporters here, WHDO president A M Mathur said a sum of Rs 55 Crore would be spent for the development of the university, which would come up by next year.
Besides, a 500-bed research centre would also be set up at the university premises, Dr Mathur said .
The land for the university has been obtained from the Himachal Pradesh government at institutional rates, he added.
A manufacturing unit for homoeopathic drugs would also be set up at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh for which a license has already been procured from the state government.
Dr Mathur claimed to have treated 2500 cancer patients with the help of Cancer Cure, a drug developed and patented by him seven years ago. Another 1600 cancer patients were undergoing treatment, he added.
