The Food Chains And Petrol Pumps Tie-Up

By Super Admin

One of the inevitable features of today's work culture is longer working hours. With the call centers and BPOs booming, the demand to work longer hours has become a regular or a routine phenomenon of the current working ways. Taking up the cause and utilizing it as a strategic mode in the development of business, food chains and petrol pumps are tying up to serve the purpose.

For example Pizza Corner has extended its service by catering to the needs of the late night pizza lovers, with a Pizza Corner Express on the Delhi-Gurgaon highway that stays open till 2 am in the morning. There are three more similar joints in Delhi and Chennai. The other food joints like McDonald's, Cafe Coffee Day and Monginis are following suit.

Mr. Anup Sequeria the CEO of Pizza Corner says that these counters will aid in boosting the appetite of the night workers like the call center employees who will like to take a quick bite on their way back home. He further states that they will tend to have 40 customers in each of their joints between 11 pm and 2 am that paves way for a profitable business.

As yet another step in the evolution of these store formats, the tie-ups with petrol pumps attract new profits to the business. The tie up will follow the 24x7-working format. Mr. Sequeria states the new idea is rather an opportunity or necessity driven than an invoked strategy or a plan. Pizza Corner has tie ups with both BP and HP. In the view of S.P. Chaudhary, executive director of HPCL, the tie-ups help in facilitating the growth of the sales volume for both the businesses.

HCPL intends to make the most of the costumer friendly atmosphere rendered by the food joint in boosting their sales.

Bharati Nair, the brand executive of Monginis points out the fact that Monginis express delivery stores are already working up to 14 hrs a day. Monginis is also all set to join in the 24x7-working format.

So with the changing infrastructure and the mode of life these tie-ups are a boon to the workaholics. At the end of a tiring day, these roadside outlets will help those who want to sip hot coffee or have a bite.
