Aizawl, Oct 16 (UNI) The Mizoram government has asked to form a Copy Right society urgently keeping in view the the growing incidence of violation of Indian Copy Right Act in the state.
Addressing an interaction session on 'Intellectual Property Rights' organised by Rotary Club here and a singers association, Law and Judicial secretary P Chakraborty said after signing the Agreement on Trade Related Aspect of Intellectural Property Rights (TRIPS) in 1995 application of copy right act had become serious in India.
He expressed concerned over the increasing incidence of violation of copy right act and urged the people to ensure that all original works of intellect or creative mind should be protected.
According to publisher association of Mizoram, several complaints had been recieved regarding copying the text and designs in the state.
