Homemade Pet Food For Your Dog!

Homemade pet food:
1. Consult your veterinarian before preparing homemade dog food. Few dogs are allergic to some ingredients.
2. A proper dog diet includes 40 percent meat, 30 percent vegetables and 30 percent starch.
3. Raw meat is more healthy than cooked one. This is because raw meat is rich in moisture which will keep the dog hydrated especially during summer. Cooking meat breaks down essential proteins and vitamins.
4. Eggs with or without shell, beef, elk, chicken, turkey, ostrich and fish can be given to your pet. They are rich in proteins and are nutritious homemade dog foods.
5. As dogs love to eat bones, you can add chicken bones in the diet. Always give fresh and uncooked bones to your dog.
6. Homemade dog food must include vegetables such as broccoli, squash, celery, asparagus lettuce, carrots and cabbage. If your dog has bloating due to a particular vegetable, exclude it from the pet food.
7. Oatmeal, pasta, rice or potatoes are rich in starch. These are easy to make homemade pet food for your dog.
8. There are few foods which can be dangerous for the dog. For eg; you should never feed onions, grapes, raisins, garlic and artificial sweeteners to your dog.
