'You know they have feelings too and they have to be treated with care and love', This is the exact statement I finally told my neighbor last week who is the owner of a Golden Retriever. As I have noticed, she seems to be least interested in looking after her pet dog. A lovely Golden Retriever by the name of snoopy , wags his tail every time I visit to feed him his biscuits. The pain in his eye and the look of his snout tells you that he is really going through a terrible feeling with the fleas feasting on his body.

The least I could do was to take him to the Vet and see to a solution to solve his painful flea allergy, which is common in most pet dogs when not looked after properly. The Vet doctor was shocked to see Snoopy in such pain due to this flea allergy and advised me to take proper pet care as it could worsen. These were the simple pet care home remedies for flea allergy he prescribed other than medication for Snoopy.

1.It is said that white cidar vinegar gets rid of flea allergy. As home remedies treatment, fill a spray bottle with vinegar and sprinkle a little on your pet dog to help get rid of the fleas from his body.

2.Grooming of your pet dog on a regular basis is a must. To get rid of flea allergy, gently groom your pet dog and wash him well with a mild soap so that he feels clean and keeps away from the painful fleas. You can also make your doggy sit in a tub filled with soap water, this will instantly drown the fleas.

3.Giving your pet dog a good diet to help prevent fleas is one home remedies to follow. In your pets food add about 2 to 3 garlic pods. The smell of garlic helps to repel fleas thus staying away from your pet. If your pet is allergic to garlic , substitute with either flax seed or salmon oil, which is healthy too.

4.Rosemary leaves is said to be good for flea allergy. Make a paste of the leaves and give your pet dog a good massage. When dry, wash him with plain water. Likewise , you can give your dog an oatmeal massage to get rid of flea allergy.

5.The fleas usually bite the dog leaving behind a sore. Treat this flea allergy sore by rubbing aloe Vera juice or the leaf on the affected areas so that the wounds heal faster. It will also give your pet dog a soothing effect.
