Tips To Brush Your Dog's Coat

Here are some tips to brush you dog's coat...
Brush you pet's coat regularly. Like you feel uncomfortable with unkept hair, dogs too feel uncomfortable with unbrushed coat. Regular brushing brings a shine to your pet's coat.
Choose a brush that is best suited to his coat. Choose a pin brush if your pet has long hair. Stiff natural bristles are good for short haired coat. Choosing the right type of brush helps to remove the loose hair without any pain.
If your dog is restless and refuses to sit at a place, initially tie it with a belt. When it gets used to the daily routine, you can remove the belt.
While brushing, start from one side and move from front to back. Lay the dog and brush his stomach. Be very carefull while brishing the ears.
You need to be very gentle while brushing your dog. Any harsh movement can cause a lot of pain to your pet. If you are harsh, your pet would run away everytime it sees the brush in your hand.
While brushing look for any ticks. In case there are ticks slowly remove them with a pair of twiser and dip it into dettol water.
Long haired pets need to be brushed daily. Short coated dogs can be brushed every three to four days. Brush your dogs more often during their shedding season.
