How far will you go to save your pet from a danger? Here a man fought with an alligator to save his pet dog! No, he is not a young man but a senior citizen of 65 years old.

David Grounds fought off a 7ft alligator to rescue his pet pooch. He leapt into action after the beast tried dragging his pet terrier Mandy into a pond. He would have never got over it if he hadn"t tried to get her free.

In the fight, the dog owner lost the parts of his two fingers. He pulled the reptile"s jaws apart and poked its eyes with his thumbs. Grounds, of Palm Beach, alligator,david grounds,dogs,florida,mandy moore,palm beach,pet care, spent two days in hospital as a precaution while Mandy had a cut treated. The gator was later destroyed.
