Microwave cooking is the new smart way of cooking and with all the innovations in microwave, cooking has become simpler than ever. Food cooked in microwave tastes as delicious as cooked over stove and retains the nutrition but at the same time may lead to messing up your oven a bit. Microwave cannot be scrubbed with water and soap and thus, needs to be a different approach to cleaning. Sometimes, food like fish, chicken etc when cooked in the oven leaves a smell, which you want to get rid of. Here are some easy tips to clean microwave oven of all the stain and smell -

1.In a microwave bowl put some peels of citrus fruits like orange and fill the bowl with water. Put the bowl into oven and heat it for 1 minute. This will form a steam inside. The steam will loosen up the stain and the citrus content will take away all the smell from the oven. Thus, leading to a clean microwave oven.

2.Take five paper towels and dip it into the water. Place it inside microwave oven and heat it up for 5 minutes. After switching off the oven, wait for another five minutes. Then use the towel to clean the microwave.

3.It is best to clean the microwave as soon as it gets dirty. When something spills over, put some salt on it. When the oven as cooled down, scrub it off. Salt makes does not allow the substance to stick to the oven and leads to quick cleaning.

4.Place a oven proof bowl full of water into the oven. Put one spoon of vinegar and one spoon of vanilla essence into it. Let it heat up for 5 minutes. The steam will make cleaning easy and the vanilla essence will take away the foul smell.
