Organic Pesticides For Natural Gardening

Years ago, farmers and householders came up with natural remedies to kill crop pests before the synthetic pesticides took over the natural way of removing insect infestations from plants. Following are few inexpensive, all natural methods to make organic pesticides for your home garden:
1.Neem: Revered neem oil is a natural and most powerful pesticide for warding off pests from your garden. The bitter leaves of the tree can be used as a spray. Mix ' ounce of organic neem oil, ' teaspoon of a mild organic liquid soap and two quarter water. Stir the liquid, add it to a spray and sprinkle it immediately. You can use neem seeds too. Wash the seeds and remove the husk. Grind them into a fine powder and soak in water overnight. Strain the liquid and use it.
2.Orange Citrus Oil: Mix 3 tablespoons of liquid organic Castile soap and an ounce of orange oil to a gallon of water. Shake well and spray it. This organic pesticide is an effective treatment to kill ants and roaches.
3.Garlic: Homemade pesticide made of garlic ward off aphids, leafhopper, cabbage looper, slugs and white flies to name a few. Finely chopped 3 bulbs of garlic with water is an easy way of using it in your garden. Another way of using it is; mix one garlic clove and organic onion to a quarter of water. After one hour add 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and liquid soap respectively. Use this as pest control and you can store it for a week if kept in a refrigerator.
4.Tobacco: Tobacco is bad for humans but an effective homemade pesticide to save plants from dying. Its spray is used to kill pests, caterpillars and aphids. To make this organic pesticide spray, take a cup of organic tobacco, mix it in a gallon of water and keep the mixture overnight. The mixture should be light brown in color and if it is dark brown then add more water to it. This garlic spray can be used on most of the plants except the plants of solanaceous family like tomatoes, peppers, eggplants etc.
5.Chilli Pepper: Grind 2 handfuls of dry chillies into a powder and mix it with a cup of diatomaceous earth (a natural diatomite). Add 2 litres of water and keep it overnight. Shake the spray well before use.
So, these organic pesticides can be easily made and used in your garden as an effective pest control. There are other items like animal urine, cow's milk, papaya and mineral oil which can be also used to kill pests.
