Bladder infections are caused when the bacteria affect the urethra (the tube that lets the urine out of the body) and then enter the bladder. Bladder infection is also commonly known as urinary tract infection. When these bacteria reach the bladder these multiply causing severe infection in the region.

For a condition like this, cranberries provide the best relief by suppressing the bacteria causing infections. It is rich in antioxidants and contains all the essential nutrients - vitamin C, vitamin A, calcium, sodium, fibre, protein, iron and potassium.
So here are ways in which cranberries can be consumed in order to get rid of bladder infection.
Ways To Consume Cranberries:

1. Fruit:
One of the simplest ways to consume cranberries is as a fruit. Take about 5-7 pieces of fresh cranberries every day till the time you feel the symptoms have subsided. Also, even during normal conditions having cranberries helps prevent such infections.

2. Juice:
There are two ways of preparing cranberry juice.
- One is by blending it in a mixture grinder and the other is by boiling it. Take a handful of fresh cranberries. Put it in a blender along with half a glass of water. Blend it well. Strain the juice and then drink it once a day. One could also add a teaspoon of honey if one does not like the taste.
- Another way is to take a handful of cranberries and boil them in water. Mash it and then keep stirring it and allow it to boil for about 10-15 minutes until it becomes thick. Strain it and allow it to cool. Have a glass of this juice once a day.

3. Dried Cranberries:
Dried cranberries are available in the market. Just take about 7-10 pieces of dried cranberries every day until the symptoms become less severe. Otherwise, having dried cranberries every day also helps keep the infection at bay.
