Ayurvedic Remedies For Liver Problem
The liver is one of the busiest and the most important organ in the body. From flushing out toxins from the body to aiding us in digestion, liver helps us in a multitude of problems and performs a multitude of tasks.
But the change in lifestyle has brought with itself many perils. The high-stress levels, smoking, drinking and junk food, etc., take a toll on liver health.
In Ayurveda, the diseases of the liver are known as Yakrit Vriddhi. These degenerative liver diseases continuously affect the healthy liver tissues.
Ayurveda, the ancient system of medicine, has many herbs and treatments which help in curing problems associated with the liver.
Apart from consuming herbs, Ayurveda also recommends making dietary changes, staying away from alcohol and cigarette to keep liver diseases at bay.

Amla or Indian Gooseberry:
Amla, aka the Indian Gooseberry, is a great source of Vitamin C and is recommended by Ayurvedic experts for the treatment of a variety of illnesses. Even researchers swear by it for its liver-protecting properties. It has been recommended by Ayurveda for its liver-protecting, digestive and immunity-boosting properties.
Licorice
Licorice, also popularly known as Mulethi, is a herb that has long been used to cure liver ailments. This powerhouse herb decreases the levels of harmful enzymes such as ALT and AST and is very beneficial in the case of non-alcoholic fatty liver diseases.
Drinking a cup of licorice tea every day will have amazing effects on your liver.
Haldi Or Turmeric:
Any dish in India is incomplete without adding a dash of haldi. Not only does it add a nice taste to the cuisine, but it also is packed with various medicinal benefits.
Its antioxidant and antibacterial properties keep many ailments at bay. It is also a potent remedy to improve on liver health.
Various researchers have revealed that because of its antiviral properties, turmeric is a potent herb that can cure hepatitis B and C
Green Tea
Drinking green tea daily has miraculous effects on your body. It helps in flushing out toxins and excess fats from the liver. It also acts as a protective cover against the harmful effects of alcohol on the liver.
Studies have even shown that people who consume 2-3 cups of green tea daily have a lesser risk of developing liver cancer.
But be cautious as to not over do it, as drinking too much green tea can also have the adverse effects of it on the body.
Garlic
Garlic is a great spice to flavour up your food and it is a great remedy to cure many diseases. It aids in purification of the liver.
Garlic contains enzymes that help in flushing out toxins from our liver. It is also packed with effective compounds that help in protecting the liver from the toxic damage.
Garlic also keeps cholesterol level in check, which also has effects on proper functioning of the liver.
Eating 2-3 cloves of garlic on an empty stomach or including it in your food is a good way to keep liver-related ailments in check.
Beetroots
Beetroot is a potent natural remedy used in many liver-related ailments. It helps in cleansing liver, and it also purifies the blood.
Beetroot is also a high source of beta-carotene which helps in improving the functioning of the liver.
Make it a habit of consuming fresh beetroot juice every day to keep liver ailments at bay.
