LFW 2023: Sustainability And Modern-Classic Blend Rule The Menswear Collection
The most sought-after fashion event in India - Lakme Fashion Week 2023 had a finale show on Sunday. Ace designers including Manish Malhotra, JJ Valaya, Siddarth Tytler, Punit Balana, and others presented their finest collections that included both womenswear and menswear.

Speaking of menswear, the focus was definitely on embracing eco-conscious materials, bold prints, asymmetrical style, and experimental hues!
Here are a few designers who featured a fabulous show presenting menswear at the LFW X FDCI 2023:

Manish Malhotra
Bollywood's favourite designer Manish Malhotra presented an exciting collection named "Diffuse" at The Grand Finale of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. The collection featured men's outfits with a blend of formal as well as casual wear. Talented Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur walked the ramp as a showstopper for Manish Malhotra's collection by flaunting a sharp suit in black. The minimal design detailing on the suit jacket appeared eye-catchy for sure!

Dhruv Vaish
Designer Dhruv Vaish's collection, "Magic Shop" literally translated the magic of a room where one could witness sunlight piercing through a stained glass window and it is refracted from a crystal or two. He translated this psychedelic ideology by designing outfits which featured this eclectic concept. The menswear casuals defined the prints in a minimal yet interesting way possible. Hues like black were defined with pop-ups like greens, and pinks that served as definite prints and patterns.

Siddarth Tytler
Talented designer revamped the term athleisure into Athluxury by featuring a fabulous collection "2085". The presented collection is said to be inspired by the 80s era and their Spring-Summer 2019 collection, "Vertigo". The goal of this line was to flaunt modernity with the fast-moving pace of street style and urban fashion. Interesting fabric choices like spandex, neoprene mesh, lycra tulle, tusser and wools gave a whole new dimension to the usual menswear choices. With eye-catchy hues like pop neons infused with monochrome stripes, houndstooth, checks, and polka dots were indeed a visual treat to the eyes. The collection included power suits, oversized jackets, corsetry, and bodycon dresses for men and women.

JJ Valaya
Ace designer JJ Valaya showcased an impressive show named "JJV. Kapurthala By JJ Valaya" that was inspired by the unique travelogues of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Kapurthala, the land of JJ Valaya's forefathers, the Ahluwalias. Before modern jetliners and social media, the Maharaja travelled to places like The United States, Argentina, Chile, Japan and the farthest corners of Siberia and the experiences were carefully added to his travel notes! JJV took these notes as inspiration and formed a collection that defined a blend of the world around you! The result is an experimental and premium line of creative interpretations!
