Discovering Fashion From Victoria's Secret Runway, 2015
Hello, girls and boys! Who's ready for some Victoria's Secret? The decadent Victoria's Secret Runway 2015 took place on the 10th of November and trust us, it was more of a concert than a runway! Apart from the leggy VS Angels like Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Lily Aldridge, we had curvy Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner make their way down the runway. It was Kendall Jenner's debut with Victoria's Secret and she had her parents Kris and Citlyn Jenner there for support. Though Rihanna pulled out of her scheduled performace, she was replaced by British pop sensation Ellie Goulding. Selena Gomez and The Weeknd also gave jaw-dropping hits and the show was utterly magical, to say the least.
The highlight of the evening was the fastasy bra worn by VS Angel Lily Aldridge, it is worth nothing less than $2 Million! Seeing all those girls strut their stuff in lingerie makes anyone jealous. Their perfectly toned skin, the bronze goddess looks, and the beachy waves are enough to leave the audience sweaty under the collar.
What can we learn from these towering VS models and the runway show in New York City that left everyone breathless? Well, here is the gist of it.
1. It Doesn't Matter what Age, Colour or Body Type you are!
the Victoria's Secret Runway showcased women of all skin colours, ages and body shapes. This juist tells us, blatantly, that ALL women are beautiful. No, we don't mean that you should watch what you eat or exercise and live healthy, but there's no need to envy another woman's body so much that you're willing to risk it all. Choose lingerie that shows off your curves and flaunt them. Find out what makes YOU happy and look good. It can be lace, sheer, silk, satin, velvet, leather, feathers, beads, or even simple cotton. You pick what you like and feel comfortable in.
2. Colour Co-ordinate!
All VS models colour co-ordinate, that's one the best kept secrets of all lingerie models and designers. Colours should always be aesthetically matched before you put your intimates on. For a wild look, choose leopard print or lace, go ahead and accessorize as well, and for those easy-going girls, satin or silk is your best bet. Make sure the colour of the lingerie matches your skin tone, whatever it is. Also, be certain that the bra and the panties go well with each other. No one likes a oddly paired set, even you.
3. Size Matters!
What? Seriously? Yes, size does matter. We're not talking about your assets here, just FYI. Every woman needs to know how to get measured and choose the right size of lingerie. No one likes seeing your breasts spilling out of your bra and it looks awful when you're wearing a bra so big, your assets are lost in them. Every time you buy a bra, try it on or get measured. The same thing applies to panties. The right size is always best. Honestly, you're not proving anything by buying anything too large or miniscule.
