Priyanka Chopra’s Gaurav Gupta Saree Gown Steals the Spotlight at The Bluff After-Party
As The Bluff continues to make headlines, both for its story and its style, Priyanka Chopra has once again managed to grab everyone's attention with her stunning fashion statement at the film's official after-party in Los Angeles. Days after captivating audiences on the red carpet, Chopra chose a striking couture piece that blended Indian tradition with contemporary glamour, and the fashion world can't stop talking about it.
A Saree Gown That Translates Tradition into Modern Couture
For the after-party of The Bluff premiere, Chopra wore a saffron-coloured saree-inspired gown by Gaurav Gupta, which was taken from his Divine Androgyne Spring/Summer 2026 couture collection. The ensemble fuses the classic saree drape with avant-garde tailoring; crisp pleats, a corset-style bodice and a flowing train that echo the familiar pallu of a traditional saree while reading as a modern red-carpet statement.
In her Instagram caption, Chopra explained that the look was meaningful to her because it paid tribute to her character, Ercell Bodden, in The Bluff, who appears with a dupatta in the film's opening scene. "It felt like a saree with a modern twist," she wrote, emphasising its cultural resonance and expressive power.
Styling That Speaks Elegance
The saffron dress was more than just a silhouette; it was a story that the dress told. The dress had a corseted silhouette that was cinched at the waist, and the pleated detail on one shoulder was a classic Indian silhouette with a modern twist.
Chopra completed her look with elegant accessories, which included earrings and rings that added to the elegance of the look without overpowering it. Her glossy, loose waves and glowing makeup added softness to the bold hue, giving her a radiant, confident presence at the event.
A Statement Accessory Worth Talking About
Fashion fans weren't just admiring the couture, the luxurious Judith Leiber "Sunken Treasure Chest" handbag she carried became its own headline. Worth approximately ₹6 lakhs (around $7,295), the crystal-encrusted brass purse added a dash of playfulness and extravagance to the outfit, which was apt for the after-party.
Blending Heritage With Global Glamour
This is yet another phase in the never-ending journey of Chopra as a fashion icon in the global arena. Chopra has always been known for her knack of effortlessly blending the best of both worlds, and she has done it again by showing that Indian fashion can easily match up to the international standards without looking like a costume or a tribute. Chopra's saffron-coloured gown is as much a statement of cultural pride as it is a statement of haute couture fashion.
The gown was hailed as one of Chopra's most memorable looks yet by fans and fashion critics alike. Whether worn as an ode to character, culture or couture, Chopra's appearance at The Bluff after-party made it clear that style, like storytelling, can be powerful, expressive and deeply beautiful.
The Bluff - What's Next?
The Bluff, an adrenaline-packed historical drama series featuring Chopra, along with Karl Urban, will be streaming globally on Amazon Prime Video from 25 February 2026 onwards. Chopra's fashion choices in the premiere week, ranging from armour-inspired red carpet looks to this saffron saree gown, are a reflection of the depth of the film, as well as Chopra's status as a fashion icon.
