Urvashi Kaur Brings The Indian Traveller On Runway Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017
Urvashi Kaur showcased a beautiful collection based on her travel experiences in the remote villages of India.
As the 5-day fashion extravaganza kickstarted in Mumbai, we geared to get you the best of #5DaysOfFashion. On the opening day of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017, we witnessed some of the most authentic lines of collections.
Urvashi Kaur presented the second show on Wednesday. Her collection was inspired by her travel experiences in remote villages in India. The collection is mellow and low key. The colour palette embodies amicable earthy tones.
The Delhi-based designer used lehriya and chinkari techniques in this collection. Talking to a daily, the designer said, " My collection is centered around the traveller and spiritual seeker and his metaphorical journey. This journey is titled Vaasa and is an ongoing theme within my work and has continued to inspire me through various collections."

The Colour Palatte
The tone of this collection was soft, easy-on-the-eyes and matured. The designer played with purple and grey hues and transpired them into structured lookbooks.

Layers
Layering was the big highlight of Urvashi's collection. Structured kurta paired with printed straight pants.

The Low Key Jumpsuits
It looks like a modernised version of Indian garment. The brownish jumpsuit paired with a cotton jacket.

Feminine Angel
The designer added flirty feminine bits to it like flowy skirts and coats.

Sheer Love
Here, designer paired a sheer shirt with a high-waisted cotton pant.

Enamoured By The Colours
Here, she aligns the shades of blue in kurta, dupatta and wide-legged pants.

Prints Are Here!
She adds a bit of nature to this. Printed kurta paired with sheer pants.
