Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016 finally kickstarted at Mehboob studio with an opening show by ace designer Manish Malhotra.

The much-awaited night was graced by many Bollywood biggies. But it was Arjun Kapoor and Jaqueline Fernandez who made the head turns while walking for Manish.

With Lakme Fashion Week 2016, Manish Malhotra introduces his brand new collection called Elements, inspired by elements of earth, water, fire, etc.

In the words of the designers, his collection is, "The dichotomy of beauty and power present in the four elements - Earth, Water, Wind and Flame, is much like the play of confidence and demureness; tradition and glamour that we see in a contemporary bride."

This time, his collection is all about summer weddings and festivity. You'll notice a lot of pastels and light summer colours. The collection is dominated by lehengas, capes, breezy jumpsuits and structured blouses.

Floral detailing is a highlight through out the collection. Take a look:

Kareena Kapoor showed up in a blush pink silk saree by Manish Malhotra.

Showstopper- Arjun Kapoor

Arjun walked the ramp for the designer in a beautiful silk jacket and a knee-length blue kurta. The ensemble was dramatised by a lengthy scarf.

Jacqueline Fernandez For Manish Malhotra

Jacqueline also walked for Manish Malhotra. She looked divine in a sheer net work lehenga.
