Kiran Uttam Ghosh Presents An Elegant & Exquisite Show 'Silver' At AIFWAW'16
Kolkata-based designer Kiran Uttam has brought silver to the runway this time. Her autumn/winter collection is majorly dominated by silver and likes of it. Not surprising that the collection is called Silver.
Silver has appeared throughout the collection in various forms - surface texturing, delicate mukaish embroidery, filigree work, mirror work, etc.
The collection hints of Tibetan, Mongolian and Central Asian jewellery motifs, adding an exquisite touch of tribal fashion to her outfits.
However, the designer has also played well with happy colours such as teal, ombre yellow, blue greens, indigo blues, etc. However, red is majorly used.
As confessed in one of her interviews, Kiran has strongly hinted to the use of opaque fabric with this collection. The beautiful kaftans seem to have kept the designer up nights after nights, and finally, the work paid off.
The designer has redefined the use of angrakha wrap again in sheer vs. opaque and fluidity vs. structured. Heavily ornate jewellery is a new feature in her collection. Also stating that it's time to maximize the look instead of going the good-old-minimalise-way.
The collection also gives you an insight to the new age modern bride attire. Keeping the red of bridal saree with subtle elements, not lauding it with ornaments. The blend of raw silk can be seen in few garments. In all, the collection is a visual delight for those who have eccentric fashion choices. Take a look at the collection:

The Red Saree
The silver border with the sheer red is bringing the best out of this outfit.

Come, Fall In Love With Red
The red silk full sleeves combined with a chiffon skirt is quite elusive.

Royal Silk & Chiffon PLeats
Halter neck gives a dramatic twist to the combination of raw silk and gentle pleats.

Working With Sheer Borcade
The plunging neckline of the red outfit blands well with the golden brocade accents.

Printed Chiffon
The flowy chiffon dress with added accents at the neck.

Pastels Blend
An elegant blend of green and plum pastels.

Silver Lining With Sheer Fabric
Adding the grace with silver borders.

Wrap The Plain With Textured
A wrap dress that 'wraps up' plain and textured print.

Mint Yellow Highlights On Blush PInk
The ensemble is enhanced with the hint of mint yellow.

A Sheer Saree
Blush pink in chiffon saree paired with a royal brown raw silk jacket.

This Drape Is Stealing The Show!
The drape that falls asymmetrically and highlighted by silver border is definitely going to raise the bar.
